Flirting is a
means of meeting potential partners and as a way to test if the potential
partners are compatible. Commonly, flirting is a way to discover new romantic
relationship. Flirting usually starts with a smile and some eye-contact. The
actions of meeting ones' eyes, smile and look away are repeated several times
as an indication to telling that target to come over. Once the person has gone
over, one will start a friendly conversation. It should be light and teasing is
minimal. It is best not to make fun of the other person as it will destroy the
ego and may lead to serious consequences.
Flirting is a
harmless action to start off a conversation with a person that one is
interested in. Usually, flirting does not mean anything serious with just a few
smiles, laughter and playful touch. One will be able to flirt with anyone that
he or she set the eyes upon and is interested in. However, unless both parties
are interested in each other and agreed to go on to a serious relationship,
flirting is simple talk-and-forget. For those who are just flirting and not
into serious relationship, it would be advisable to keep the conversations
along the line. It is best not to flirt beyond simple friendly chatter and some
playful touches.

powerful weapon, thus one must choose the person to flirt with wisely. Only
flirt with someone who certainly can take jokes and are sporting enough to
forget it later. Unless both of them are interested in starting dating each
other, some may feel down upon rejection and worse still become a stalker.
It is not a good
idea to flirt with someone that one is not romantically interested in. It can
lead to embarrassing consequences and may affect the interactions from that
point on. That person may not feel comfortable to interact and be around
another one anymore. Flirting is a type of compliment and there should be
sincerity around. Flirting also depends on the environment that one is in. It
is not advisable to flirt in places that are too quiet like a library, or too
loud such as disco. The surrounding itself will prevent or limit one from
talking, and it is hard to flirt in this situation. One should be careful while
selecting a person to flirt. This person should not be too old or a best
friend's partner. This might end up in bad consequences such as ruining a
relationship, and people start blaming.
There are
occasions that people cannot flirt. Places such as the workplace and attending
funerals are not flirt-able. While flirting, one must be careful of the
selection of words. Some conversation topics may offend others, and there is a
limit even with jokes. Dirty jokes must be avoided as not all people are
comfortable with them. The consequence from this will be bad; resulting in
embarrassing moments, killing the mood and worse, the person may leave the
place.
